Effective control of spray-wall interaction characteristics in low-pressure systems is an essential feature in various practical applications. Achieving a desired spray-wall interaction is critical in terms of liquid film formation, droplet detachment from the film and the residual film properties. It strongly depends on the spray formation mechanism and spray/stream parameters prior to the impingement. The main objective of the study is to link the knowledge of spray formation features with the spray-wall interaction parameters to develop the methodology to control the spray impingement process in real time. |
