1 Issues related to rational use of energy (consumption, generation, transmission and distribution), in particular electricity. Studies of electricity use patterns in the context of energy efficiency, participation in ancillary services to electricity networks, demand side response, etc. Energy management as a process to improve energy management and maximise benefits from energy use by different types of users. Energy management in prosumer installations (methods, objectives, short and long term effects). Energy management in the context of climate and energy policy objectives and sustainable development. Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy
2 Issues of billing for the use of electricity. Searching for a fair and socially, technically and economically justified system of settlement for energy components (active/passive/level of quality and reliability of power supply) in the era of smart grid solutions, smart metering and prosumer solutions. The prosumer billing model as a stimulator of RES-based energy development. Modern forms and models of settlements between users and the tasks of the distribution network operator. New technologies in user settlements (P2P, blockchain, cryptocurrencies) and the development of specific structures and new forms of activity in the energy market. Energy cryptocurrencies. The role of network operators and the financing of their activities with the trend towards an increasing share of prosumer installations and self-balancing areas. The billing model for ancillary (system) services to the grid provided by consumers/prosumers/flexumers (including DSR/DSM). Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy
3 Management of power and reactive energy in electricity networks and electrical installations. Reactive power (non-active powers) and the problem of energy efficiency. Issues of impact of energy loads on the demand for reactive power in the context of their widespread use. Reactive power prosumption. Prospects for reactive power management in the context of electricity transformation towards renewable technologies, microgrids, self-balancing areas, etc. Power quality issues in modern and developing power structures and the problem of efficient/ rational use of energy. Modelling of energy actors and users in terms of reactive power use and/or power quality issues. Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy
4 Research into new energy structures (e.g. virtual power plants, virtual lines, virtual storage, microgrids, energy clusters, energy cooperatives, prosumers and flexumers) in the context of their impact on the electricity system, the role of energy storage, the energy market, energy policy objectives, the decarbonisation of the sector, the economy or social attitudes (technical, ecological and socio-economic factors). Possibilities for the development of these structures under different climate and energy policy scenarios. Investigation of the profitability conditions for investment in selected structures Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy
