1 Mass cusomization: designing production systems, organizing and managing the production of customized products (i.e. meeting various requirements of specific customers) with the use of solutions and the possibility of obtaining high efficiency and productivity typical for large-scale production (mass production, large-scale production). Mass customization is one of the directions of development of the organization and production management, it covers various issues: technical, organizational, economic, social, etc. It is an important tool to improve the competitiveness of enterprises, allowing them to meet individual customer requirements (as in unit and small-lot production) and at the same time achieve economies of scale of operations typical for mass and large-scale production. A specific problem is the planning and control of customized production. The problem concerns the development of new methods (algorithms) of production planning and control, integration with existing systems (eg ERP, but not only) and the use of Industry 4.0 technology. 2 New production models using IT. The development of new IT technologies (conventionally known as Industry 4.0 technologies) creates new opportunities for the construction, organization and management of production and enterprises. The existing concepts and models for the organization and management of production do not fully use the enormous potential of Industry 4.0 technologies. Among the many new opportunities created by new technologies, one should mention, inter alia, the production model as a service, new concepts for the construction and management of dispersed supply chains and distribution systems, etc. In particular, one of the barriers to the dissemination of new technologies is the lack of reference models and methodologies for designing such systems and the lack of knowledge and skills to assess their effects (including impact assessment). on the widely understood environment - technology impacy assessment). The work is of research, concept and design nature. Mechanical Engineering
