The evolution of 5G/6G network infrastructure towards integrated communication and computing infrastructure, improves currently offered services and enables new services such as Augmented/Virtual/Mixed reality (AR/VR/MR), immersive 6DoF video, 360 videos, as well as Internet of Everything (IoT/IoE) solutions. The network softwarisation paradigm, Edge/Fog/MEC, and cloud computing technologies bring new capabilities and challenges. The main research challenges are i) the development of effective orchestration, resource management, and control methods and algorithms to support the effective use of distributed computing and network resources in the above-mentioned systems, and ii) the development of federation and interworking rules for telco and cloud provides, iii) ensuring adequate efficiency, dependability, and securing of the integrated communication and computing infrastructure, as well as, iv) the development of new services and applications using new capabilities. of this infrastructure
