The main idea of the project is to develop ultrafine-grained (UFG) or nanocrystalline (NC) immiscible systems based on copper and to investigate their physical and mechanical properties. Copper is characterized by high electrical and thermal conductivity, but its low mechanical strength limits applications in high-temperature conditions. The project assumes the use of the high-pressure twisting technique (HPT), which is a method of severe plastic deformation (SPD), to produce multilayer hybrid materials with unique properties. PhD projekt will be carried out within a project financed by National Science Centre.
