Electrolytes for galvanic cells – design, synthesis and investigation of electrolytes for lithium, lithium-ion (Li-ion) and beyond-lithium-ion cells (sodium-ion (Na-ion), lithium-sulfur, etc.), with particular focus on design and application of new/proprietary lithium salts and functional additives. Design and development of liquid (including ionic liquids-based), gel, polymer and composite electrolytes – investigation of electrochemical and thermal stability, compatibility with electrode materials, solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer engineering. Ionics of electrolytes for galvanic cells, spectroscopic, impedance and electrochemical investigation, testing of half-cells and test battery cells, cell assembly. Development of fluorine-free and material-sustainable galvanic cells. Research on non-aqueous and aqueous electrolytes. Development of measurement techniques: ion transference numbers, ionic association investigation, impedance spectroscopy.
