1 Issues related to rational use of energy (consumption, generation, transmission and distribution), in particular electricity. Studies of electricity use patterns in the context of energy efficiency, participation in ancillary services to electricity networks, demand side response, etc. Energy management as a process to improve energy management and maximise benefits from energy use by different types of users. Energy management in prosumer installations (methods, objectives, short and long term effects). Energy management in the context of climate and energy policy objectives and sustainable development.
2 Management of power and reactive energy in electricity networks and electrical installations. Reactive power (non-active powers) and the problem of energy efficiency. Issues of impact of energy loads on the demand for reactive power in the context of their widespread use. Reactive power prosumption. Prospects for reactive power management in the context of electricity transformation towards renewable technologies, microgrids, self-balancing areas, etc. Power quality issues in modern and developing power structures and the problem of efficient/ rational use of energy. Modelling of energy actors and users in terms of reactive power use and/or power quality issues.
