The research is focused on the fabrication and characterization of recognition layers formed by nucleic acids (such as aptamers) and antibodies as well as optimization of working parameters of elaborated “affinity” biosensors. The ultimate goal is the development of a portable “point-of-care” (POC) devices, which could be applied in clinical diagnostics for detection of bioanalytes such as protein biomarkers.
