I conduct research in the following areas: heat and mass transfer, thermal radiation, energy storage and conversion, heat storage, ground heat storage, thermochemical heat storage, phase change heat storage, heat and moisture transfer in building materials and porous media, pressure-retarded osmosis, intensification or limitation of heat transfer, modeling of heat and mass transfer processes, micro-macroscopic modeling of heat and mass transfer processes, thermal-flow modeling of devices, computational methods, numerical modeling, CFD. Examples of dissertation topics: Development of a model and investigation of heat and moisture transport in the multilayer protective clothing; Development of a method for prediction of effective (macroscopic) hygro-thermal and optical properties of the highly anisotropic medium; Development of the advanced micro-macroscopic model of transport phenomena in membrane used in the pressure-retarded osmosis (PRO) process.
