- sustainability issues in the construction industry - carbon footprint of building materials, facilities and equipment, environmental certification systems, circular economy in the construction industry;

- application of optimization and artificial intelligence methods in construction (especially expert systems and case-based inference systems;

- innovations in construction - especially low-carbon construction;

- computer support of the entire process of design, construction, and operation of buildings (BIM);

- management of energy and comfort (thermal, acoustic, etc.);

- sssues of Building Physics.

The potential Ph.D. thesis will use such research tools as computer modeling, digital simulations, experimental research, survey analysis of large data sets, and tools for monitoring utility consumption and assessing building comfort.

My research activities include the following areas:
1. mobile robots and self-driving vehicles – modeling and motion simulation, path planning, autonomous navigation, motion control methods including model-based ones,
2. social robots – mechatronic design, development of human-robot interfaces and artificial intelligence methods,
3. human body scanning systems – designing new solutions, 3D reconstruction and determining anthropometric parameters.
