The main area of research interest is combustion by-products (UPS), which can be used in hardening slurries, a material used to seal the subsoil in environmental protection facilities (flood embankments, embankments of water reservoirs or landfills). The subject of basic research are material composites with the addition of UPS, i.e. fly ash from conventional and fluidized combustion, hard coal and lignite. Additionally, the experiments identify the properties of composites with the addition of ashes from thermal treatment of municipal sewage sludge and municipal waste. The area of the mentioned research is closely related to the assumptions of the circular economy.
