1 Ionic liquids in reference electrodes for biomedical measurements One sample that can be used for non-invasive biomedical measurements is sweat. So-called ""electronic tattoos"" have been proposed for continuous measurement of sweat. They are non-invasive analytical devices with sensors placed on their surface. Interestingly, there is little research into miniaturized reference electrodes against which the potential of other sensors is measured. One of the possibilities to develop new, more stable reference electrodes is the use of ionic liquids. The aim of the research is to establish the relationship between the structure and properties of ionic liquids and the stability of the potential of reference electrodes based on these compounds. The ionic liquids selected after this stage will be used to prepare reference electrodes on miniaturized planar transducers produced by screen-printing. Chemical-Sciences
2 Transducing layers for anion-selective electrodes with polymer membranes The aim of the proposed research is to investigate the possibility of improving the analytical parameters of miniaturized ion-selective electrodes for selected anions through the use of various types of transducing layers. The overwhelming majority of research on this subject concerns the transducing layers in cation-selective electrodes. The few publications on anion-selective sensors of the "All-Solid State" type indicate that not all transducing layers developed for cation-selective electrodes work in this case. The developed layers will then be used to construct prototype devices (such as skin electronics) for the determination of anions in sweat samples. Chemical-Sciences
