The conducted research covers the areas of designing optical systems and diffractive optical elements, with particular emphasis on the terahertz radiation range. Designing and testing new systems for telecommunications, biological or non-destructive testing of materials is an increasingly needed area of research, to which spectroscopic techniques can also be added, enabling the characterization of various types of materials and samples. Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy allows very detailed analysis of the properties of matter using short pulses of terahertz radiation. The range of terahertz radiation is currently a dynamically developing field in which many scientific and technical challenges still need to be overcome. |
