Melanoma is the skin cancer with the highest mortality and increasing incidence in the world population. Despite many years of efforts, there is no effective therapy for metastasis of this cancer and a lot of research is devoted to searching for new solutions using the modern methods and technologies to overcome this risk. One strategy is to apply in silico computational methods using available databases to identify the most promising drug combinations and novel substances known as cell signaling effectors. As part of the project, for the biophysical tests of melanoma cells, label-free methods (e.g. quartz microbalance extended with a module enabling the simultaneous registration of changes in the refractive index) and the methods measuring changes in biochemical parameters will be used. The correlation of the experimental data with the bioinformatic analysis will allow the selection of the best combinations.
