The main field of scientific research are processes of biological removal of gaseous pollutants from waste gases, and other biotechnologies in environmental engineering and environmental protection, such as biodegradation processes of hardly degradable compounds, including halogenated hydrocarbons, biological elimination of pollutants from the ground and water environment, and biotechnology of production of useful products from wastewater and waste.
